Good morning babes!! Today New York Fashion Week kicks off and after attending every season for the past 3 years since I started the blog, this is the first time I won’t be. I decided to take a little break, being 6 months pregnant has put a lot of things into perspective and taught me what to prioritize, and right now that’s my health and the baby’s. Usually around this time, I would be scrambling to put my outfits together, running around to different showrooms and fittings, scheduling my show itinerary, squeezing in meetings, and stressing out A LOT! Of course, I’ll miss the excitement of putting together my outfits, getting fun street shots with my other blogger girlfriends, and seeing my favorite designers showcase their collections, but there’s always next year! This year I’m really grateful to be at home with Gabriel and my family and staying as stress-free as possible for my baby girl :) We still have so much planning to do before she arrives in three months and have been spending our weekends car shopping for a family car and house hunting!
So for now, I wanted to share some of my favorite looks and memories from the past few years attending NYFW! Hope you loves enjoy :)
NYFW F/W 15
One of my favorite fashion weeks look of all time was this vintage Dior blazer! It was my second trip to fashion week, so I was beyond excited but my gosh was it FREEZING COLD!! I realized after the second day, sacrificing my warmth was becoming a trend during Fashion Week lol! My favorite part of this blazer were the lace sleeves..so elegant and unique. Since I went for an all black look, I really wanted to layer with different textures and detailing, so I paired the blazer with Meskita fur and my studded leather A.L.C jacket along with waxed denim. I finished off the look with my dramatic cat eye frames from Dita and dainty gold jewelry.
NYFW S/S 16
One of my favorite looks from S/S 16 was this backless Zimmermann playsuit! Fall in NYC is one of my favorite times of year because the weather is perfect (right before the cold winter starts) and the trees shed their leaves all over the city..such a pretty sight I don’t get to experience back in LA! So I was set on wearing this floral cut-out number which I had paired with Gianvito Rossi gladiator heels and suede Saint Laurent bag for the Zimmermann show which is always one of my favorites each season!
You guys know how much I love a good clean white & gold combination! This was no ordinary LWD. This silk mini dress by Misha Collection was stunning with the high neckline and open back that made it feel classy and elegant. I paired it with my favorite white and gold Aquazzura pumps and head out to one of NYFW’s epic afterparties!
I wore this look to an All Saints presentation in Meatpacking! This was (and still is) one of my favorite leather biker jackets, I throw it on over everything! We walked from our hotel to the show and I thought this high-waisted, belted skirt by A.L.C was perfect for the occasion..anyone spot the umbrella’s? ;)
NYFW F/W 16
I wore this look for the Marissa Webb show! I’ve always admired her unique and bold streetstyle looks, so I chose to go with an outfit that made a statement. I layered her Metallic Theo Mini Dress over a mesh bodysuit and leather leggings as a coat and finished off the look with these statement tassel earrings!
I wore this black and white look to the BCBG show!! Slip dresses were such a big trend during fall and winter 2016, but since it was FREEZING I layered this slip dress with leather leggings, booties and a cozy fur jacket. Statement chokers were also one of my favorite accessory trends during this time, so I paired the look with this leather and crystal choker by Fallon..such a gorgeous masterpiece!! Hoping for a comeback soon lol!
NYFW S/S 17
Taking it back to NYFW S/S 17′ Zimmermann style! Not only was this one of my favorite looks from that season, but also one of my favorite street shots ever! G really knows how to capture those in-motion streetstyle shots :) I wore these blush wide leg pants by Zimmermann, an open back blouse by A.L.C., Aquazzura platforms to add length to the look, and these amazing hoop statement earrings also by Zimmermann..I couldn’t get enough of these!!
Love this white and black ensemble I put together for another day of shows and running around in the city. This sheer blouse by my talented friend and designer, Lurelly is the perfect combination of sexy and ladylike. I paired it with these high waisted flares to dress up the look and add more shape to my silhouette and my favorite Fendi DotCom bag!
Stripes on stripes!! I was loving this combo of stripes, robe coat, and mini. I usually like to mix things up during NYFW, so I wore this shirtdress as a robe over the button down blouse. I balanced it out with a simple white Michelle Mason leather skirt and my Fendi Dotcom bag.
One of my favorite layered looks ever!! This was the start of my blush obsession! lol I fell in love with this trench robe coat by Raquel Allegra and wanted to create an outfit around it. I’m really into combining different textures, fabrics and details during NYFW so for this look I paired the coat with suede shorts from Intermix, a sheer see-through blouse (designed by me), and my Saint Laurent blogger bag, which I unfortunately later lost in Cuba that year!
Hope you guys enjoyed this NYFW outfit recap! So many amazing memories these past few years :)
