Happy Monday my loves!! Hope you all had an amazing weekend! I’m so excited to share this post with you today as I’ve been working on a special project designing a new office and youtube room in my home! We’re in the final stages of creating the space and I’m so excited to give you guys a sneak peak into some of the desk decor I’ve been lusting over these past few months!!
If you ever want to refresh your desk space, I love adding a few new accent pieces that are feminine, chic and make your desk space feel more personalized! I’ve put together a list of 10 essentials below including shoplinks and many more picks including budget-friendly options.
1. Kate Spade File Organizer
I like to keep my desk space as clean as possible and clutter-free! I get so slammed with work during the week, which adds a lot of paperwork, documents, and mail to my desk space. Having a nice sleek file organizer on my desk helps me organize all my files and mail into different sections, and the best thing is I can always come back to it when I need to! I fell in love with this acrylic and gold mail filer from the Kate Spade décor collection, not only is it chic for a mail holder, but it has “sort it out” engraved on the outside- something playful to look at! If you’re on a budget- I’ve linked a couple options from Nate Berkus that will have your desk glammed up! Find here and here.
2. Target Pencil Cup
If you work from home and treat your desk like your office, it’s always nice to have cute and chic desk accessories! Although I work a lot from my computer, I still need my office supply essentials. This includes things like pencil holders, tape, a stapler, and paper clips. I love anything rose gold at my desk, so this copper pencil holder from Target is perfect and such a reasonable price! If you’re looking for something a bit more fancy, Kate Spade has some of the most stylish and trendy office décor! I love how clean, yet elegant the office supplies look- acrylic combined with gold finishes and each item has a different quotation engraved on the surface, how cute?! Find the Kate Spade pencil cup here and the pineapple pencil holder here.
3. Jonathan Adler Zebra Stacking Dish
I love accessorizing my desk with cute jewelry dishes like this gold zebra print one from Jonathan Adler. Having stylish trinket plates on your desk is perfect for organizing small items, perfumes, lipsticks or rings that are hanging around your office. For a larger desk space, I like to have a few little dishes scattered amongst my other décor to keep my rings and lipsticks stored and easy to find when I want to grab it on the way out. I love this ‘Smell The Rose’ trinket dish from Francesca’s and the heart dish from Shopbop.
4. ‘Good Vibes Only” Desk Sign
I’m obsessed with this “Good Vibes Only” desk sign from Nordstrom! This is such a great and inexpensive piece to have on your desk. A quirky piece like this sets the tone at my desk space and reminds me to only bring good vibes. If you work from home, it can sometimes be difficult to remain focused and stay on track, so I love having some inspiration to look at when I wake up in the morning! I found some alternative options for you guys here and here!
5. Threshold Copper Task Lamp with White Marble Base
When I’m working at my desk into the late hours of the night, I love having a lamp by my side if I want some extra light. Can you guys believe I found this lamp from Target? The rose gold combined with the marble base looks so luxurious and extra chic! It’s also the perfect size, and isn’t too big to overcrowd a small desk space and leaves room for other essentials. I’m all about decorating my space to be simplistic, clean, with a modern appeal and glam accents. If you guys are looking for something a bit more simple, I found this gold table lamp from Target here (on sale now) and this sleek white/rose gold option from West Elm here!
6. Voluspa Prosecco Bellini Classic Boxed Candle
Candles are an item you will see in every room of my apartment! Not only can they make your surfaces look better, but the aroma of certain candles makes me feel relaxed and comfortable. I always find a simple way to spruce up your desk space is to add a couple simple white candles on top of some fashion books or magazines. If you work a lot from home and feel stressed sitting at your desk, lighting a candle or two can brighten up your mood and make you feel so much more relaxed. My favorite candle scents and go-to’s are always Voluspa and Diptique candles- they smell absolutely amazing and are aesthetically pleasing to look at! Found this amazing set of Voluspa candles from Nordstrom for you guys here and this votive set from Anthropolgie is perfect for some pretty candle decor!
7. Kate Spade Spiral Notebook
I’m constantly thinking about new concepts, ideas, and content for the blog and you guys! So I love having a cute and chic notebook at my desk where I can jot down any quick thoughts or ideas I have in the moment and come back to them later. Having a sleek notebook by my laptop also inspires me to stay organized and ensures me that I can keep track of all my thoughts. Although they can be a bit pricey, I love all the prints Kate Spade offers with their notepads and the way they look on my desk- perfectly elegant and luxurious. If you’re on a smaller budget, I love this gold leatherette journal from Francesca’s and this Pink Peony Agenda book from Ban.do!
8. Flower Vases
The most important thing to have on my desk is fresh flower arrangements and vases! I go through days where I’m sitting in front of my computer for hours on end, so it’s SO nice to have some life in front of me. I also love mixing it up between flowers of the season and succulents, it keeps my workspace fresh and fun. If your looking to give your workspace a mini makeover, adding a flower vase is always a great way to uplift your mood throughout the day and create a more attractive workspace. I love these White and Gold Minimalist Vases from Etsty and if you’re looking for something a bit more fancy, this White Hydrangea Arrangement from Pottery Barn is gorgeous!
9. Wall Art Prints
My workspace is where I spend a big chunk of my day and sometimes it can be tiring sitting at a desk and staring at my laptop for hours on end. I think of Wall Art as a quick pick me up when working at my desk because there are times when I sit back and simply get inspired and motivated by looking at the quotations and photos on my wall. Creating a space above your desk where you can put different frames, prints, and colors makes your desk space even more stylish and fun. Love this Rise & Grind Print from Etsy and this cute hanger set from Anthropologie!
10. Fashion and Coffee Table Books
Whether it’s in the living room, bedroom or my office there’s something I love about decorating my place with fashion and coffee table books. Fashion books are one of my go-to décor pieces to make a room feel glamorous and feminine. My trick is usually stacking a few books and topping them off with a nice candle and flower vase. Coffee table books can be really expensive, so I usually find them on Amazon for a great deal- I’ve linked some options for you guys here and here!
